    Subject: I got my self esteem back

    Throughout 2009, as a result of a couple of bouts of illness and general pressures of work, I found myself feeling down, out of shape and unable to motivate myself to do anything about it? My wife bought me a gift voucher for Christmas for Feel Alive Fitness and, although I was nervous and self conscious of my increase waistline, I went along for my first session...and, honestly, I haven't looked back since!
    Having assessed what I wanted to achieve, Stephan put together a programme for me which has not only radically improved my fitness in a relatively short space of time, but most importantly, given me back my self esteem. His attention to detail and constant encouragement never fails to impress me. I still have a long way to go but with Stephan's help, I am absolutely sure I will reach my goal.

    I have been training with Stephan for the last 5 months. Have started to really notice the difference, even with only one session a week. This is much better than a gym where you waste your time and normally stop going after a few weeks! It's good fun and good value as you get a whole hour of one-to-one training.     Stephan has really work hard with me this year. As soon as he started with me he realised what my problems with movement and my disability were and adapted the workouts to make it easier for me, also he had no problems with helping me carry out the exercises e.g. put weight in my hands the right way.

    Whether instructing a group fitness class or one-to-one training Stephan always delivers top quality sessions. Stephanseemingly effortlessly makes training sessions fun and enjoyable, whilst also maintaining his awareness of possible health and safety risks, which he is constantly advising on. Stephanremains enthusiastic throughout training sessions, and constantly remains supportive and encouraging, whilst making it clear what the benefits to each exercise are. Despite making training sessions fun and enjoyable, Stephan is insistent on maintaining correct technique and posture throughout every exercise, this further supports Stephan’sconcentration on making the sessions safe, effective and injury free, which also increases one’s confidence and trust in Stephan as a professional.     Stephan has been working with me since late 2006 and I have made considerable progress with his help. I had been working out before I started with Stephan but decided to use a Personal Trainer to boost my motivation at the time.

    Since working with Stephan I have set different goals along the way. I initially started working with Stephan to add quality muscle mass and reduce my body fat over a 5 month period. Whilst working with Stephan over this time frame he helped me add 3kg of muscle and reduce by body to 10%. At the moment he is helping me on improving my running style for athletics.

    As a PT Stephan is a very nice, talkative guy who really seems to care about he’s clients. I can talk to him about more than just training which is always good. He pushes me hard and seems to know my limits, which is good as sometimes I will not push myself when I know I can go further or lift more weight. He does not let you have it easy just because you want but also is able to tell what you can handle.

    Stephan is willing to listen to what things you like and don’t like exercise wise and will build you a program of what you do like that will still give you good results. Over the time that I have worked with Stephan I have realised that most goals are very attainable but you have to put in the hard work to achieve them.
